Many other companies see the vision of AI as "AI instead of humans,"
but we believe we must protect artists and professionals.
AI generation is a tool that reduces the workload for artists
while making possible things that could not have been conceived before.
It is a tool that doubles your own abilities.
We have also been active in the IP business for a long time, and we understand that manga artists
go through periods of intense pressure to release their work. We have seen cases where artists
pour themselves into their work to the point of affecting their health, leaving no time for a private life.
This led us to consider whether AI generation could help.
For the past six months, we have been supporting multiple manga artists with AI generation.
AI supports simple tasks such as the following:
・Character design
・Backgrounds
・Changing character poses
and more
On the other hand, fine work and details are still handled by the manga artist
or their assistants.
This approach improves work productivity and gives artists more private time.
With more private time, they can also secure time to relax, allowing them to approach
the next day's work with a refreshed mind and come up with a variety of ideas. It also allows
them to work with more energy, improving both the speed and quality of their creations.
Over these six months, we have seen a variety of achievements and possibilities from combining
AI and manga. Wanting to support even more manga artists, we held an image AI generation
seminar for manga artists! We originally planned to cover the main tasks in a small number of pages,
but in the end, the content grew to nearly 100 pages!
For this seminar, we prepared the following content.

・How to use Midjourney: introducing each feature
・Explanation of prompt-writing rules in Midjourney, etc.

・How to change expressions
・Style reference (how to generate a style similar to a given image)
・Character consistency (teaching how to generate characters similar to a character in a given image)

We were joined by 12 renowned manga artists.
We received highly positive feedback from the participants,
so we are now planning to hold seminars for larger groups of manga artists going forward.
